The New Testament teaches that all of us, Jews and Gentiles, have “missed the mark” (Romans 3:23). All of us are under the consequences of sin, and “the wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23). We are all in need of salvation from our sin; we are all in need of a Savior. The New Testament teaches that Jesus the Messiah is “the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father” but through Him (John 14:6) And, most importantly, “there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under Heaven given among men by which it is necessary for us to be saved” (Acts 4:12).

For the Jews, Jesus the Messiah has come as High Priest and through His once-for-all sacrifice for sin offers complete atonement to all people. For there is “no distinction” between Jew and Gentile (Romans 10:12). Yes, the Jews are God’s chosen people, and through them came the Jewish Messiah to bless all the nations of the earth. And it is only through Jesus that Jews can find God’s complete atonement and forgiveness.

While individual Jews must come to Christ for salvation, God is still not finished with Israel as a nation. The Bible tells us that in the end times, Israel will finally recognize Jesus as their Messiah (Zechariah 12:10). Jeremiah 33:8, Ezekiel 11:17, and Romans 11:26 predict that in the end times Israel will be regenerated, restored, and gathered in their homeland. This gathering took place in 1948,
when Israel was recognized as a sovereign country by the United Nations. (Please see our article on Israel’s role in the end times.) Clearly, God is not finished with the Jewish people.

  3. QUOTE: ” God is still not finished with Israel as a nation.”

Nope. You couldn’t be more wrong it you tried.

Matthew 21: 33-46, Jesus clearly teaches that National Israel is to be cast out as the husbandmen of the vineyard (Kingdom of God) and replaced with another nation which will bring Him fruits in due season. That “nation” is the Church.

All the promises of blessing to National Israel were predicated upon faithfulness to the covenant they made with God. When they killed God upon the Cross, they destroyed the covenant and it was over. The Old Covenant is gone, replaced by the New Covenant (Heb 8:13). Or perhaps I should say fulfilled in Christ in the New Covenant.

Either way, there is no longer anything special about the tract of land in the Middle East which was stolen from the Palestinians and renamed “Israel”

God had nothing to do with the establishment of a Jewish nation in 1948, especially since that was done by politicians who were under duress from Zionists and who didn’t understand their Bibles properly. Instead of catering to the Zionists, they should have told them to repent and turn to their Messiah, whom they crucified.

If you want to understand why the Jews no longer have any claim to being the special people of God, you MUST understand a covenant properly. The way to do this would be to read Ray Sutton’s book on covenant principles –THAT YOU MAY PROSPER. You can find it as a free read on the I.C.E. website.
