The presence of the Lord is a Believer’s most valuable asset. Unfortunately, many of us go through life failing to engage in His presence. Some people don’t give His presence much thought at all during the course of their busy day. Yet the Lord has promised never to leave or forsake us. Therefore, we should acknowledge His presence in all we do (Matthew 1:23, Hebrews 13:5, AMP). He is waiting for us to become more aware of Him.

Proverbs 3:6 says, AMP, “In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths.” Even though we cannot see the Lord, His presence is just as real as the people we can see. Just as the members of our household expect for us to acknowledge them on a day-to-day basis, God wants us to acknowledge Him daily. When we do, He will lead and guide us according to His plan for our lives. God knows the best paths we should take, which is why spending time with Him should become our number one priority.

God already has the answer to the circumstances and situations we face in life. We don’t have to worry. Instead, we can cast our cares on Him, knowing that He cares for us and watches over us affectionately (1 Peter 5:7, AMP). God doesn’t want us to deny the reality of our problems. He simply wants us to focus more on Him and His ability to deliver us. He knows that we deal with unexpected issues and situations that concern us. However, He is there to bring resolution to those concerns.
Did you know that God’s presence minimizes problems the size of mountains? Zechariah 4:7, AMP, says, “For who are you, O great mountain [of human obstacles]? Before Zerubbabel [who with Joshua had led the return of the exiles from Babylon and was undertaking the rebuilding of the temple, before him] you shall become a plain [a mere molehill]! And he shall bring forth the finishing gable stone [of the new temple] with loud shouting’s of the people, crying, Grace, grace to it!” We can begin to shout, “grace, grace” to those mountains we face each day. Pause and think about that. Then, shout grace to your mountains!

Psalm 97:5, says, “The hills melted like wax at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the Lord of the whole earth.” Meditating on the Word of God is one of the ways we engage in His presence. To meditate means to mutter and roll something over in your mind again and again. When we meditate on the Word, we give the Word priority in our lives. God speaks to us through His Word, and when we hear and obey, we experience true success (Joshua 1:8, AMP, Psalm 1:1-3).
When we become more God-conscious within our daily activities, His presence becomes more and more evident in all our affairs. For more on this subject, order my single CD message Success in His Presence by clicking the link below.
