The Stranger Inside — The Voice of One

March 28, 2019

Because there was famine in Canaan, Jacob sent 10 of his sons to Egypt, where he heard there was grain for sale (Gen. 42:2-3). When Jacob’s sons came before Joseph, he recognized them, but they didn’t recognize him (Gen. 42:7-8). We have seen how Joseph’s life foreshadows Christ’s death and resurrection. Joseph’s brothers hated him […] […]

26th March: Judges 9:50 – 12:15 – When Israel began to return to the Lord, He said to them, ‘Mean what you say’ … — Praying Through God’s Word

March 27, 2019

Judges 9:50-11:11 With verses 56-57, read Romans 1:18 – ‘The wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and wickedness of men who by their wickedness suppress the truth’. Doing ‘what was evil in the sight of the Lord’, ‘the people of Israel’ brought themselves under God’s judgment (10:6-9). When Israel began to […] […]

we all must be born again

March 26, 2019

You Must Be Born Again It is a very solemn question, then, that comes up before us; and would that every one should ask himself earnestly and faithfully: “Have I been born again? Have I been born of the Spirit? Have I passed from death unto life?” Now there is another class of men who […]

The Reality of the Afterlife by Greg Laurie on Mar 26, 2019 So we tell others about Christ, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all the wisdom God has given us. We want to present them to God, perfect in their relationship to Christ. Colossians 1:28 Listen There are a lot of strange and incorrect views of the afterlife, and sometimes even Christians will adopt some of those views. What we need is a biblical view. Heaven exists. And of course, so does Hell. We need to think about this, because as we get older, the afterlife is getting closer. We start losing friends and family, and we know our day will come. One day we might realize that we have more friends in Heaven than we have on earth. When I was a kid, it seemed as though the third grade lasted ten years. Now decades go by. I’ve lived through all the decades of the music channels on satellite radio. (You know you’re getting older when nineties songs are called oldies.) Life marches on. Eternity gets closer. And the Bible is very clear on what happens when you die: If you are a Christian, you will go straight to Heaven. And if you are not a Christian—and I don’t say this with any delight—you will go to Hell. Jesus Himself said, “You can enter God’s Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose that way” (Matthew 7:13 NLT). And according to Jesus and the rest of Scripture, more people are going to Hell than are going to Heaven. That is not what God wants, but He has given us a free will. If we Christians believe what the Bible says about the afterlife, then why are we not doing more to warn people about the reality of Hell? My hope is that the knowledge that Hell is real will motivate unbelievers to come to Christ. I also hope it would motivate believers to share their faith with more urgency.

Walking by Faith, Not by Feelings — Free Bible Studies Online

March 24, 2019

By Maria Fontaine Some find it much easier to be assured of the Lord’s presence in their lives when they experience happy times or emotional highs, things they consider to be proof of His love and closeness to them. However, when those feelings aren’t there, it can be much harder for them to trust. They… Walking […]

March 24, 2019

By Rob Pue Are you under attack? Does the world hate you? If you’re a Christian, I mean. The sheer intensity of the hatred toward Christians — and the hostility of the attacks – is hotter and meaner now than I have ever seen it. If you haven’t suffered any attacks personally, in this day… If […]
